Privacy and analytics

GoToNorthWales is a visitor guide run by Think Menai Ltd. You can use the whole guide without agreeing to analytics.

Your choice

Choose Allow analytics or Reject analytics in the privacy panel. We remember that choice on your device for up to 180 days. Open “Privacy and analytics” at the foot of any page to change it. If you withdraw permission, we stop sending events and clear the analytics cookies we set on this site.

What we measure with permission

Google Analytics 4 uses first-party cookies to count visits and interactions. PostHog’s EU service uses a random identifier held in this tab to connect page views with clicks. We measure which guide you open, its county, and whether you follow a venue, directions or transport link. We omit URL query strings from the page addresses we send and limit referring addresses to the originating website. We do not record screens, identify visitors by name or use this information for personalised advertising.

Analytics providers receive connection information such as an IP address when your browser contacts them. Read about Google’s privacy practices and PostHog’s privacy practices.

Running the website

The hosting server can log requests, including the IP address, time, requested address and response, to serve and protect the guide. External websites you choose to visit have their own privacy arrangements.
